Sandy and Kayla were an absolute delight to work with on my sideboard project.
I purchased a sideboard for my dining area; however, the piece had some slight damage and the color did not match my decor. I searched for a company that could assist me with restoration and updating the color and found Busy Bee-ing Creative. Sandy and Kayla understood what I wanted and made several trips to my home to drop of color swatches! This level of personalized customer service was so appreciated.
I am MORE than pleased with the completed project. Sandy and Kayla sent me photos of the work in progress and kept me updated as they worked on the piece. The piece is absolutely beautiful! Look at the photos!! My dining area is going to look awesome when I'm done decorating. I definitely recommend Busy Bee-ing Creative for any furniture restoration projects. Working with Sandy and Kayla was wonderful! They met with me to allow me to choose the colors, wax, drawer liner pattern, and drawer pulls. They explained the process thoroughly and kept me in the loop throughout the make over. When an issue came up (the handle I chose wasn't quite fitting), they were very quick to explain the issue and possible solutions in order for me to make an informed decision. Considering I had two pieces done with them, each a little bit different from each other, the turn around time was fairly quick! I was beyond thrilled to receive my custom pieces back. They far exceeded my expectation in all areas! I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

I am absolutely enamored with this mother-daughter team. I have big ideas for the many pieces of furniture that I inherited when I purchased my grandmother’s house. I’ve watched countless DIY videos, and sketched out color schemes - I thought I had it all figured out. Until I painted a bedroom and refinished the floors in that ONE room and realized I’m not cut out for the DIY life ? I searched for months looking for someone who refinished furniture, but hadn’t found anyone who I thought could make the ideas I had come to life. Then I found Sandy and Kayla on Instagram and I just knew they were the ones. I brought in two end tables that I wanted to start with, I explained my bright and bold idea- explained that I can’t blend makeup, I’m not blending paint - but that I could see from their other projects that they had the skills! They were incredibly kind, patient and (true to their name) creative. They walked me through the process, bounced ideas back to me, kept me in the loop through the entire process, let me know when they had a snag, and returned to me two beautiful pieces of art. My style isn’t for everyone, but even family and friends who aren’t into my aesthetic, are totally in love with these tables.

I wanted to give a big shout out to Sandy and Kayla and their shop ‘Busy Beeing Creative.” They refurbished a beautiful coffee table for my living room. It’s perfect for my apartment and I love it. Throughout quarantine, I have also been remodeling my bedroom. I realized I needed two night stands that don’t take up too much space. They found the perfect ones for me and redid them to match my new bed. l just love them! If you want your old furniture to look beautiful and brand new, you owe it to yourself to give them a call. When my husband and I moved into our current apartment, some friends graciously gave us lovely living room furniture, including a wooden end table. We wanted to add a pop of color to our living room, so we asked Busy Beeing Creative to paint the table for us. Kayla contacted us to go over possible colors and designs that would best suit our room and tastes. Kayla and Sandy exceeded our expectations and returned an end table that was completely transformed. They sanded and painted our table and added wax detailing, a floral transfer, and a new drawer pull. They completed all of this work for an incredibly reasonable price and the end result is stunning. We would highly recommend these skilled craftswomen to anyone looking for a fresh new look for their beloved furniture pieces.
